OK..! I admit it. I don't know a lot about website management. So the "big update" may take a little longer than I would like, but it will happen! Little by little, so please be patient and I will do my best. Thanks!
I've made a start with the Forthcoming Events section. Well, actually at present there are no more exhibitions planned until 2015 but you can always contact me by Email for any enquiries.

Once again I find myself having to apologise for being many months adrift with this scrapbook. Having just spent this last weekend showing some of my work at the 2014 Christchurch Model Railway Club exhibition I am amazed to see that the previous scrapbook entry in January 2014 is the only update since last year's Christchurch club exhibition! That is Inexcusable, and I must try and do better ! The number of times that my website was mentioned to me over the weekend made me realise that I must make sure that it is updated regularly. So watch this space for a big update....
Where does the time go? The Christchurch Model Railway Club Exhibition back in October was, as always, very enjoyable for myself and Ann. We met up with many of our old friends, and introduced our latest print "The Lymington Branch"..... limited to just 12 copies only. And since then the days have gone by in a blur! However, I have managed to catch up with some long delayed (sorry!) Commissions, and I'm glad to say that I am almost up to date now, so....... new Commissions are now welcome!
27th September 2013
It's been a busy summer.
During March, April and May, three of my paintings were included in an Exhibition of Railway Art at Horsted Keynes Station on the Bluebell Railway.
In June I was invited, together with one of Britain's leading railway artists, John Austin, to put on a small display of work at a Cuneo Society "At Home" day at the home of Chris and Pat Wheeler in Bournemouth. The day was a great success and my thanks are due to Chris and Pat for organising everything so efficiently, especially for their outstanding hospitality at lunchtime! And it was nice to have a bit of a chat about railway painting with John Austin afterwards in the evening. So thanks, John.
Towards the end of July it was the South Coast Rails Group Model Railway Exhibition at New Milton and it coincided with a heatwave! Nevertheless, Ann and I had quite a successful weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition. My thanks to all the organisers, and especially for all the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to help with dismantling my stand afterwards!
The Guild of Railway Artists annual exhibition was held this year at the National Railway Museum, Shildon, County Durham and I was delighted to have two of my paintings accepted for this prestigious National Exhibition.
So, now I'm getting ready for the Christchurch Model Railway Club Exhibition on October 19th and 29th.

My thanks to everyone at the Wimborne Railway Society for putting on such a good exhibition last weekend. The new school makes an excellent venue and Ann and I had a very pleasant time chatting to friends both old and new. And of course we were very grateful to the team of volunteer porters who so kindly helped us with setting up, carrying prodigious loads into the hall, and then at the close of the show, carrying it all back out again. Ann and I could never have managed it all on our own, so ...
Many, many, thanks to everyone who helped!
Next weekend I will be in attendance at the WIMRAIL model railway exhibition, and on display I will have some new original paintings plus a large selection of prints and greetings cards all at reasonable prices. The venue is Queen Elizabeth School, Blandford Road, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 4DT Sat 6th & Sunday 7th April
The South East Group of the Guild of Railway Artists are holding an exhibition of railway art at Horsted Keynes Station on the Bluebell Railway until the end of April and I'm pleased to say that it includes several of my paintings,

Christchurch Model Railway Club annual exhibition....Congratulations to Pete Whitcher and his team for putting on such a good exhibition last weekend. The last minute change of venue through no fault of their own must have been a huge headache. And yet the weekend was a great success! Well done!
As always, many thanks to everyone who visited my stand ; Ann and I both enjoyed meeting so many of our old friends and, of course, forging some new and very interesting friendships.

I thought that I had mastered the management of this website, but it seems that.. "Oh no, you haven't. Not yet" There's still a lot of work to do. The site is still a long way short of what I'm aiming for. But I will keep at it.
24th June 2012 I discovered yesterday that there was a fault in the Contact section of this site that prevented any messages reaching me. So I apologise to anyone that has sent a message and has not received any acknowledgement . Sorry ! THE PROBLEM HAS NOW BEEN PUT RIGHT . New messages will now get through and I will reply to all new messages as soon as possible. However, I'm afraid that any messages that were sent previously have been lost somewhere in the system so will need to be sent again... and this time I will reply !
